This blog is all about helping authors (that's you!) turn their draft into a polished novel. So many authors get their first draft written but just don't know what to do next. Here, you can learn those next steps, everything from revising your plot and characters to editing punctuation.

My goal is to help guide you through the revision and editing stages of your book so that you can edit your novel and publish with confidence, knowing that you have a great book in your hands. This will also help prepare you for beta readers and editors. If you can learn and implement the things shared on this blog, you will be able to save money when it comes time to hire an editor.

If you're ready to start implementing new ways to make your good book great, then be sure to enter your email below so that you can grab your free copy of my Self-Editing Checklist for Authors. You will also receive updates on new editing tips and resources.

About Meagan Nicole

Three years ago, I started my own editing business. I have now edited over sixty fiction and nonfiction novels and short stories. and I have also edited many websites and blog posts.

I have also authored Wynter, a short story retelling of Snow White. The first draft is available to read for free on Wattpad, and it is currently under revision to be published. My first novel in The Kingdom Chronicles series is also in the revision stage. You can learn more about my series here.

Like most writers, I love drinking coffee or tea while I write, and I have a feline companion who loves to hang out with me while I'm editing. When I'm not writing or editing, I enjoy reading, playing tennis, watching The Lord of the Rings or Pride and Prejudice, playing the violin very badly, and quoting Disney movies.
